INDU LIGHT's innovative "Libra" light dome is both elegant and functional, and is manufactured exclusively in Halle nearby Leipzig to guarantee "Made in Germany" quality. The innovative product line was presented by INDU LIGHT at the BAU trade fair in Munich. It will be available as of spring 2017.

The light dome without dirt-collecting edges
The Libra light dome stands out thanks to its minimalist design. The form, reduced to the essentials, has an elegant feel, while the straight lines and smooth outer surfaces ensure a fuss-free, simple look, additionally avoiding unsightly dirt-collecting edges. Libra's modest and neutral appearance is perfect both for sophisticated architecture and for industrial applications.
Libra's thermal insulation meets the highest requirements. Its opaque multiple glazing achieves excellent energy values. The dual gasket seals installed as standard prevent draughts and moisture from entering and also improve the U values. The proven Energy-Line-Silent (ELS) technology, which is already in successful use in INDU LIGHT's Topline continuous rooflights, also features in the Libra light dome. It guarantees optimum thermal insulation properties and soundproofing values. The roof connection via a thermally separated PVC profile also guarantees ideal insulation. By selecting the GRP upstand, thermal insulation is further improved. The low energy loss makes the light dome eligible for EnEV and KfW funding.

Maximum stability
The light dome made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or polycarbonate (PC) is very robust because the individual hinges have several screw connections and can thus withstand high snow loads. To satisfy particularly high stability requirements, the steel upstand can be chosen. The vapour-tight frame corner joint is extremely stable and resistant to torsional stresses. It is primarily used in connection with SHEV units.

Four alternative upstands are available for Libra. The light dome is delivered as standard with the light and elegant GRP upstand. This guarantees maximum thermal insulation and a particularly appealing look. The PVC upstand which can be connected directly to the roof sheeting is especially suitable for foil roofs.
For higher stability requirements – such as, e.g. when using SHEV units – it is recommended to use extremely robust steel upstands that are resistant to torsional stresses. Together with wind deflectors, these ensure safe smoke extraction.
The steel renovation upstand is especially suited for existing buildings.

Fixed and ventilated versions
Libra can be installed as a fixed version or ventilated model. But even if you initially opt for the fixed dome, you can easily have the ventilation function retrofitted at any time. Libra therefore allows you to remain flexible, with the option of adapting it to any change in requirements.
Libra is also available as a certified smoke exhaust unit!

Hail protection grid | Steel mesh grid
Safety tested in accordance with DIN 4426
Accessories including hail protection grids, steel mesh grids and shading flaps are provided for maximum safety. These can be flexibly retrofitted at any time to meet the current requirements in safety and personal protection.
Fall and fall-through protection
Continuous rooflights and light domes without structural features to render them permanently fall-through proof must include suitable covers or suspended structures which prevent individuals from falling through. INDU LIGHT protective systems are available for continuous rooflights and light domes and can be retrofitted onto all current INDU LIGHT products.
