Taurus Mechanical Smoke Extraction System

Taurus offers high extraction performance and can be flexibly integrated into roofs and facades. This makes the system ideal for buildings with complex geometries and multi-story structures, such as production halls, office buildings, shopping centers, or parking garages, where natural smoke extraction is not possible.

In the event of a fire, Taurus systematically extracts hot smoke gases from specific sections and, if necessary, directs them outdoors via ventilation ducts. The resulting smoke-free zone facilitates the rescue of people and supports a rapid, efficient firefighting operation, which also contributes to the stability and preservation of the building. The powerful three-phase motors ensure a consistently high extraction capacity.

The increasingly stringent requirements of the Industrial Building Code underscore the importance of mechanical smoke extraction systems. Depending on the application, Taurus meets temperature classes 0°, 300°, or 600° in accordance with DIN 18232-5 and EN 12101-3, thereby enabling a customized design for various fire protection scenarios.

Taurus is controlled via a dedicated MRA control panel and can be integrated with the fire alarm system. A backup power supply ensures that the system remains operational in emergency mode even during a power outage.
