Draco – Comfortable Ventilation and Efficient Smoke Exhaust

The Draco ventilation sash combines high-quality construction with advanced technology and was developed specifically for the Shedline, Glasline, Skyline, and Sideline skylight systems. The smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (SHEV) sash is available either as a glass combination sash or a single glass sash. The thermally separated sash element ensures high thermal insulation and impresses with its welded construction, which offers exceptionally high torsional rigidity. A triple sealing system also ensures excellent air and rain tightness, contributing to long-term, reliable performance.

Thanks to consistent thermal separation and innovative Rain-Proof Ventilation (RPV) technology, Draco provides rain-proof ventilation while maximizing the smoke exhaust area. The glazing is available in polycarbonate or glass and is suitable for demanding glass structures.

Your advantages at a glance

Rain-resistant comfort ventilation with maximum smoke exhaust area

Conventional single-sash windows open only upward and can allow rainwater into the building during ventilation. Draco-vent’s rain-proof-ventilation (RPV) design solves this problem: Daily comfort ventilation is rainproof thanks to downward opening, while the opening mechanism automatically opens upward in the event of a fire, ensuring maximum smoke exhaust area.

Polycarbonate or glass

Draco can be glazed with either insulated glass or polycarbonate. The insulated glass version offers particularly good thermal insulation and soundproofing properties while also providing reliable fall protection. The polycarbonate version, on the other hand, is a cost-effective solution and is particularly suitable for use in industrial and commercial construction.

Tested and certified

As an ISO 9001-certified specialist company and a VdS-approved installation firm, INDU LIGHT designs, supplies, and installs custom-sized smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (SHEV) systems. During the design phase, we take into account all relevant design standards, including DIN 18232, VdS guidelines, and the Industrial Building Code—to ensure maximum safety and compliance with standards.

The durable Draco-star daylighting system is designed to meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The thermally separated sash element ensures excellent thermal insulation and, as a welded construction, is extremely resistant to warping. The Draco-star flat-roof window is particularly suitable for use in residential spaces, administrative buildings, and other structures with similar requirements.
